Why I teach the violin

Hi, I’m Logan Hans Lee. As a 17-year-old based in Almaden Valley, San Jose, and an aspiring professional violist, my mission is to share the joy of music with young learners. With teaching one of my four younger siblings, I’ve learned that the secret to a great student is balancing a fun, engaging environment with the discipline needed to truly excel.

My main philosophy is that patience, precision, and personality = PURPOSE

My goal is to provide your child with a memorable musical journey—one that builds confidence, fosters "grit," and ensures they develop a lifelong, healthy relationship with their instrument. I look forward to helping your child reach their full potential!

Ready to Begin? Let’s talk.

Whether your child is 4 or 14, a complete beginner, or someone who’s tried violin before and wants a fresh start — I’d love to meet your family.

In a free 30-minute consultation, we can get to know each other and discuss goals for the student. I’ll walk you through my teaching approach, what to expect in the first few months, and how to get set up with the right instrument, if needed. No pressure, no commitment — just a chance to see if we’re a great fit.

What parents often ask about:

• Recommended starting age and how lessons are structured by age group

• Whether to rent or buy a violin (and what size!)

• Practice expectations for busy families

• My teaching philosophy and how I keep kids engaged and motivated

I work with a small number of students so I can give each one real attention and care. Spots fill up — if you’re curious, reach out early.
